Child Health Finance & Quality advances child health by promoting high quality care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and patient-centered.  The AAP works collaboratively to support a health care delivery system where evidence informs key aspects of real-world practice, and data from practice further informs the AAP’s guidance and advocacy priorities to benefit clinicians, patients and families. The portfolio includes evidence-based medicine, quality improvement initiatives, vaccine guidance development and implementation, primary care and practice management, the Project ECHO collaborative learning model, finance and payment strategy and quality evaluation & analysis.

Clinical Practice Guidelines

CPGs are evidence-based decision-making tools for managing common pediatric conditions. CPGs support pediatricians and other providers with clinical recommendations that are transparent and rigorously developed.
