Why voters should choose you

The AAP is my professional home. With over 15 years of district experience, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to the AAP’s mission and have a proven track record of chapter and district leadership, collaboration, and innovation.

As a general pediatrician in an independent, private practice I bring diversity to the role of DVC with not only my lived experiences but also the expertise that comes from owning and running a busy practice in a rural setting. I believe my experiences in rural general independent pediatric practice, both clinically and administratively, would be a great asset in AAP leadership.

Why voters should choose you

Being elected to serve as District VII Vice Chair would afford me the opportunity to continue my life’s work to advance the health and well-being of children. My vision of this work would be to ensure the successes of each chapter elevate all the chapters in District VII. My experiences in leadership with the Texas Pediatric Society, Texas Medical Association and the AAP make me well-suited to take on this important role. Specifically, my work as TPS legislative chair and President, advocacy on HPV vaccines, and my six years serving on COFGA make me uniquely qualified to be DVC.
