What motivates you to seek this position?

Pediatric critical care provides a front-row seat to both the resilience of children and the consequences of policies that fail them. Those experiences have fueled a lifelong commitment to advocacy, quality, safety and equity. Advocacy is my antidote to burnout. After witnessing countless preventable tragedies, I am most fulfilled working upstream to improve the systems, policies and conditions that shape child health. I am seeking this position because effective advocacy for children and families requires strong advocacy for the subspecialists who care for them. I would be honored to help strengthen that voice within the AAP with courage and civility.
