Prioritize Children
It’s time to prioritize the 25% of the population that represents 100% of the future. Healthcare technology, payment models, and investment in medical research must be centered around the needs of children. Pediatricians need to stand up from the kids’ table and join the rest of the medical community as true peers. I will leverage my technical, organizational, and business expertise to continue my lifelong advocacy for children at every opportunity.
Empower Pediatricians
Every pediatrician is a child health expert, advocate, and healer. Pediatricians deserve the appropriate resources, respect, and opportunities to meet the needs of our patients, families and communities. When we empower pediatricians, we champion the value of our profession to build a better future for everyone. As an AAP section member and chair, I am grateful for the sacrifices that each of you has made, and I will fight to strengthen our profession.
Inspire Hope
When we work together and lift each other up… When we invite innovation… When we ensure that every person is seen, heard, and valued… Anything is possible. Even on our toughest days, we encounter families who bring joy to our hearts. Children remind us why we worked so hard to enter this profession and why we still show up every day. May we inspire hope in our patients and our colleagues, as they inspire hope in us. The children are counting on us. Let’s build a better tomorrow - together.
