Melinda Williams-Willingham, MD, FAAP, is a physician owner of the Decatur Pediatric Group in Clarkston, Ga., and Chair of the AAP Committee on Federal Government Affairs, which provides strategic guidance on advocacy with the White House, Congress, federal agencies, and numerous AAP councils, sections, and committees.
Dr. Willingham is a member of the AAP Section on Telemedicine and has served on numerous committees within the Georgia chapter, including the Young Physicians Committee and the Legislative Committee. In 2007 she was awarded the Pediatric Leadership Alliance Award and later the Young Physician of the Year Award in 2008. More recently she received the Special Achievement Award in 2010 and the Outstanding Achievement Award in 2016 by her colleagues at the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Pam Shaw, MD, FAAP, is a Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Dean for Medical Education at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She has served as president of the Kansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and completed six years as the District Chair and board member for District VI. Currently she is the chair of the AAP Committee on State Government Affairs.
