Dr. Nicholas Chadi is the first author of the AAP clinical report, "Nonmedical Use of Controlled Medications by Adolescents and Young Adults." He is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Montreal and a clinician-scientist specialized in Adolescent and Addiction Medicine at Sainte-Justine University Hospital Centre. 

Michael Pitt, MD, FAAP

Dr. Mike Pitt is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, where he is an Associate Residency Program Director, Associate Chair of Faculty Development and Strategic Planning and the Fellowship Director for hospital medicine. Dr. Pitt has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts and textbook chapters in leading medical journals and has developed curricula used at hundreds of universities in more than 20 countries. As an award-winning professional magician, he has performed for Fortune 500 Companies all over the world and has taught more than 3,500 pediatricians how to think like a magician at the bedside to improve rapport and increase diagnostic yield.  

Rheanne Maravelas, MD

Rheanne Maravelas is a med-peds hospitalist at the University of Minnesota. She grew up in west-central Minnesota, completed undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Minnesota, and did residency in Kalamazoo Michigan. She enjoys working clinically in hospital medicine caring for both adult and pediatric patients. She is interested in research and quality improvement about communication, predictive models, and advanced illness.
