Mary Beth Miotto, MD, MPH, FAAP is a general pediatrician at the Mattapan Community Health Center in Boston and president of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MCAAP). She also is an Assistant Professor of Community Pediatrics at UMass Chan Medical School. Dr Miotto and sits on the executive committee of AAP Council on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (COQIPS) and the Primary Care Committee on the AAP Section on Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. She is the lead author of the policy statement on Safe Administration of Medications in School on behalf of the AAP Council on School Health. She also represents District One on the Chapter Forum Management Committee.

Alexis Williams, MD, is a senior resident at Boston Children’s Hospital/Boston Medical Center and rising hematology-oncology fellow at Ann and Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital. Her clinical and research interests stem from health equity/advocacy, with a particular interest in neurocognitive outcomes among patients with Sickle Cell Disease.
