Errata

Below is a listing of known errata to the first edition of Pediatric Psychopharmacology for Primary Care. (There are no known errata for the second edition.) Depending on which printing of the book you have, some of these errata may already be corrected in your copy.

Chapter 4

  • Page 75, third full paragraph (last before the Onset of Effect heading): "Because all methylphenidate preparations" should be changed to "Because all amphetamine preparations"
  • Page 90, end of the first paragraph: The sentence "A disadvantage is that no generic clonidine is available." should be deleted.
  • Page 90, third bullet: "rebound hypotension" should be changed to "rebound hypertension".

Chapter 5

  • Page 108, third subbullet under the second bullet: Should be revised to read "Do not start MAOI within 5 weeks of stopping fluoxetine (does not apply to other SSRIs)."

Chapter 6

  • Page 125, first box (Risperidone): "Tables 6.9 and 6.10" should be changed to "Box 6.5 and Table 6.5".

Chapter 7

  • Page 132, Citalopram row, Warnings, Precautions, and Adverse Effects box: "ECG changes" should be removed from the Boxed Warnings
  • Page 133, Ziprasidone row, Warnings, Precautions, and Adverse Effects box: Adverse effects should be revised to read "Adverse effects: Most common adverse effects in clinical trials (incidence ≥5% and twice placebo): somnolence, respiratory tract infection, extrapyramidal symptoms, dizziness, akathisia, abnormal vision, asthenia, vomiting, headache, nausea"
