The DRIVE Network database is continuously evolving to incorporate new types and formats of data that expand what we can learn from delivery room care. By enhancing how data are collected and structured, DRIVE strengthens its ability to support innovative research and more effective quality improvement across sites.

DRIVE CHD Module

DRIVE is developing a new optional module within the DRIVE database to better understand the delivery room experience of newborns with congenital heart disease (CHD) and congenital arrhythmias. This effort will capture data on infants with CHD who require delivery room resuscitation, with the goal of defining current practices, identifying high-risk diagnoses, and examining how care varies across sites and regions. The module will also enable comparison between infants with and without CHD, assess how delivery room management relates to early outcomes, and build a foundation for future research, guidance, and quality improvement efforts in this understudied population.
