The DRIVE Network supports quality improvement initiatives that translate evidence into real-world practice across participating sites. Through shared learning and data-driven feedback, DRIVE helps teams implement and sustain changes that enhance care and patient outcomes.
DRIVE O2
DRIVE O2 is DRIVE’s first multi-site quality improvement collaborative project. The initiative focuses on increasing the proportion of infants who reach an oxygen saturation (SpO₂) of at least 80% within 5 minutes after birth, an important milestone linked to better neonatal outcomes. Participating DRIVE hospitals will work toward a shared, measurable goal using evidence-based approaches such as standardized delivery room practices, team training and simulation, and real-time feedback from pulse oximetry data. Sites will test and refine strategies through iterative Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles. The initiative also prioritizes improving the quality of delivery room documentation through the DRIVE registry, with data collected and shared across sites to support collaborative learning, track progress, and sustain improvement over time.
