The International Meeting on Indigenous Child Health (IMICH) is the only conference dedicated to the health and well-being of First Nations, Inuit, Métis, American Indian, Alaska Native and other Indigenous children and youth in North America and around the world. Sessions cover a range of topics such as emerging health topics, community programs, public policy, and more. IMICH is designed for community members, researchers, academics, and clinicians.
The 12th IMICH will take place May 28-30, 2027, in Portland, Oregon, USA, and features new streams and topics focused on maternal-child health.

At the end of the conference, participants will be able to:
- Apply new skills, insights, and knowledge about the multiple determinants of health that benefit Indigenous children, youth and communities.
- Develop multisectoral collaboration and partnerships to work towards achieving health equity for Indigenous children, youth and communities.
- Apply an enhanced understanding of culturally responsive care in health interactions with Indigenous youth and families.
- Select strategies and unique solutions to meet the emerging health needs of Indigenous people seeking obstetric and gynecologic care, along with their families, and communities.
- Explore strategies to co-design program, policy and systems changes with community Elders, parents/caregivers, youth, and local health providers
- Employ strategies to support the role of traditional health and healing practices in Indigenous communities.
- Identify the links between the environment and the health of Indigenous children, youth and their families/communities.

We strive to offer vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free food options at our events, though availability may vary depending on the venue and occasion.
Buffets will have menu labels clearly indicating ingredients and/or accommodations.
REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION
Your registration will be confirmed. Please contact the AAP Registration Area if you do not receive a confirmation within 7 days. The AAP cannot be responsible for expenses incurred by an individual who is not confirmed and for whom space is not available at this course. The AAP reserves the right to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances or to limit enrollments, should attendance exceed capacity. Course educational sessions are open only to registered attendees.

CANCELLATION
Requests for registration cancellations must be e-mailed to [email protected] by May 14, 2027. A $75 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. No refunds will be issued after May 14, 2027. Refunds will not be issued if the course materials have been accessed by the registrant at any time.
