CPGs are evidence-based decision-making tools for managing common pediatric conditions. CPGs support pediatricians and other providers with clinical recommendations that are transparent and rigorously developed. Each guideline is grounded in comprehensive evidence reviews and formal methods to assess the strength of the evidence.

Guidelines that have reached the end of their active publication cycle and are undergoing AAP review. Although no longer current, they may still contain relevant best practices and evidence-based recommendations for pediatricians.

Council on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (COQIPS)
The Council on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety is focused on innovations and activities supporting the integration of policy and practice, education, advocacy​ and implementation around the topic areas of quality improvement and patient safety.
Partnership for Policy Implementation
The Partnership for Policy Implementation (PPI) was established to increase the ability of pediatricians to implement AAP recommendations at the point of care.
Section on Epidemiology, Public Health, and Evidence (SOEPHE)
The Section on Epidemiology, Public Health, and Evidence, is dedicated to educating the general pediatrician and pediatric subspecialist on the basic principles of epidemiology and its relation to pediatrics and its various disciplines.
