These updates contain information about work in progress as well as upcoming and release feature announcements. Work over the last two weeks is included. Aap.org Content Changes

  • Bright Futures
    • Began development for…
      • Pinned navigation bar option that can be utilized by a secondary navigation.
      • Periodicity button on the secondary navigation.
  • Coding and Payment Hotline Form
    • Continued the redesign and build to move this existing form onto the aap.org platform technology.
  • Worked on a fix for the Not Found Handler page in the CMS where the scroll function on the list of urls does not work.
  • Added topic Muscular Dystrophy Public Health Consortium (MDPHC) to Patient Care.

shopAAP Updates

  • Launched a change to add the home page view event into the tracking to allow a Recommended for You model to be utilized.
  • Worked on fixes for shopAAP analytics tracking reports and dashboards.
  • Launched the following fixes...
    • Getting bundle products to appear on shopAAP and function correctly in the checkout flow.
    • Updating the product pricing logic to properly handle bundle components and configured discounts.
    • Removing credit line from bundle components on bundle product detail pages.

Learning Management System and PediaLink Transformation

  • Launched November/December releases on the new LMS including…
    • 2025 PREP Subspecialty Monthly Issues
  • PediaLink Migration
    • Program Director Center and Individualized Learning Plan (ILP)
      • Provided post go-live support for roster administration (Advisor/Admin Assignment, Request Invoice, Manage Admins), PREP SA Reports, and the ILP.
    • New PREP
      • Continued the build process as part of implementation of the future vision of PREP, focusing on the product features and goals for rollout.
      • Launched fixes for bundle products that will be needed for rollout of the new PREP product.
      • Tested a change in My Library to map all PREP block products to one card to streamline the user experience.
      • Continued to prepare for the launch of pre-sales for new PREP blocks and bundles in early December.

Other Features

  • Search (powered by Google Vertex AI)
    • Launched post go-live fixes including the ability to turn the generative AI summary on and off for each context (All AAP, shopAAP, etc.) and ensuring the date for the same result is the same no matter the context.
    • Worked on a fix for search results not appearing after site resets.
  • Auto Renewal
    • Provided post go-live support for online sign-up for automatic renewals of membership and subscriptions.
    • Tested a change to control whether pay by check is an option when paying membership renewals online.
  • My Account Order History
    • Investigated the possibility of showing unpaid/partially paid invoices in Order History for a user to be able to pay online.
  • My Membership
    • Tested a change to remove the member since dates on the national, section, council, and chapter cards. The member since date still shows at the top of the page, simplifying the display.
  • Enterprise Membership
    • Gathered more information about allowing a primary or secondary contact to manage more than one enterprise membership program and switch between rosters on the page on aap.org.
  • Healthy Children
    • Continued working on migration of the symptom checker tool onto the AAP Features site.
    • Started working on the statement of work for design and development of a site for teens called After Hours Health onto its own Content Management System.
