These updates contain information about work in progress as well as upcoming and release feature announcements. Work over the last two weeks is included. Aap.org Content Changes
- Bright Futures
- Estimated effort to do the UI design for changes to the paginated landing page to support Bright Futures content.
- Coding and Payment Hotline Form
- Continued the redesign and build to move this existing form onto the aap.org platform technology.
- Tested the underlying code development framework version update which fixed an issue with the Optimizely CMS Not Found Handler screen scroll functionality.
shopAAP Updates
- Tested changes for providing more granular control over what Product Type facet our products display under in shopAAP Search.
- Tested a new tool for improving session management on shopAAP, in order to address recent intermittent performance issues impacting some shopping carts and checkout transactions.
- Worked on a fix for the Mini-Cart display after the user alters their membership renewal as part of the cart / checkout flow.
Learning Management System and PediaLink Transformation
- Supported launch of activities on learn.aap.org, including…
- Promoting Health Equity in Pediatrics: An Upstream Perspective
- Program Director Center and Individualized Learning Plan (ILP)
- Provided post go-live support for roster administration (Advisor/Admin Assignment, Request Invoice, Manage Admins), PREP SA Reports, and the ILP.
- New PREP
- Provided post go-live support for new PREP system, including fixing an issue on the PREP SA Program Reports page to ensure the page does not show an error when year 2026 is selected since that data is not available yet.
- Deployed logic adjustments to support changing the product code for the 2026 PREP Self-Assessment print book. Verified after changing the product code in the LIVE environment that redemption and fulfillment continued to work, and when users redeem the print book, the Shipping address selection screen appeared.
- Continued working on features to support Program Administration functions in the new PREP system.
- Education team launched content for additional PREP Subspecialty blocks.
Other Features
- Search (powered by Google Vertex AI)
- Focused on post go-live cleanup including testing of a new facet called Product Category for filtering results to more easily surface products that should be tagged differently than their main product type (e.g., PREP blocks & bundles line of products).
- Auto Renewal
- Built a change to clear membership proformas from the cart if the user subsequently in the same session chooses to sign up for autopay by installments.
- Worked on a fix for a typo on the Installment Enrollment Review screen.
- Healthy Children
- Continued working on migration of the symptom checker tool onto the AAP Features site.
- Continued development of a site for teens called After Hours Health onto the Optimizely CMS.
- Worked on the Discovery phase for the redesign of the Healthy Children site to migrate it onto the Optimizely CMS.
- Membership Portal
- Tested the back end change for adding the Affiliations component to the Medical Student application, which will allow for applicants who are part of certain associations (e.g., Student National Medical Association) to receive a special discount.
- Transcripts
- Developed a fix on the MOC claim page to allow users without an ABP ID or ABP Name in our system to save those prior to submitting the claim.

Aap.org Content Changes
- Rolled out the redesigned Philanthropy area of the site now referred to as Ways to Give, at https://www.aap.org/en/ways-to-give/.
- Bright Futures
- Worked on a mockup for changes to the paginated landing page to support Bright Futures content.
- Coding and Payment Hotline Form

- Provided post go-live support for roster administration (Advisor/Admin Assignment, Request Invoice, Manage Admins), PREP SA Reports, and the ILP.
- New PREP
- On January 28th, launched the new PREP desktop site and PREP mobile app as part of implementation of the future vision of PREP.
- Worked on post go-live changes and issues, including logic adjustments to support changing the product code for the 2026 PREP Self-Assessment print book. Verified in TEST that once the product code is changed and configured properly, when users redeem the print book, the Shipping address selection screen will appear.
- Began working on features to support Program Administration functions in the new PREP system.
