These updates contain information about work in progress as well as upcoming and release feature announcements. Work over the last two weeks is included. Aap.org Content Changes
- Bright Futures
- Approved the UI design for changes to the paginated landing page to support Bright Futures content.
- Worked on fixes and changes, including…
- Change the Resource Banner block to show the subtitle underlined when hovering over it instead of in the rest state.
shopAAP Updates
- Launched fixes including…
- Missing results when searching by product code under then shopAAP Search.
- 500 error when attempting to view or edit an event registration.
- 500 error when selecting or adding a different shipping address during product activation of the 2026 PREP Self-Assessment Print subscription.
- Began estimating what would be involved in eliminating the Product Information Manager system from the set of tools used for the shopAAP site.
- Worked on updating the site to remove the usage of the Find technology across pages and components on the shopAAP site (e.g., recommended courses block, product detail pages).
Learning Management System and PediaLink Transformation
- Supported launch of activities on learn.aap.org, including…
- 2026 Practical Pediatrics CME Course - Orlando, FL Disney
- Clinical Event Debriefing - 2026 Cohort
- Program Director Center and Individualized Learning Plan (ILP)
- Provided post go-live support for roster administration (Advisor/Admin Assignment, Request Invoice, Manage Admins), PREP SA Reports, and the ILP.
- Estimated work to enhance Request Invoice to ask admins about interest in purchasing PREP blocks for their programs.
- New PREP
o Provided post go-live support for new PREP system.
o Continued working on features to support Program Administration functions in the new PREP system.
o Education team launched content for additional PREP Subspecialty blocks.
Other Features
- Search (powered by Google Vertex AI)
- Launched additional post go-live cleanup fixes for search by product code and reducing extra api calls.
- Worked on a fix to reduce the size of the search button on mobile.
- Healthy Children
- Continued working on migration of the symptom checker tool onto the AAP Features site.
- Continued development of a site for teens called After Hours Health onto the Optimizely CMS.
- Worked on the Discovery phase for the redesign of the Healthy Children site to migrate it onto the Optimizely CMS.
- Membership Portal
- Worked on fixes and testing of the back end change for adding the Affiliations component to the Medical Student application, which will allow for applicants who are part of certain associations (e.g., Student National Medical Association) to receive a special discount.
- My Account Library
- Worked on a change to show the institution name and remove the CME/MOC label on the cards for products that are purchased for the user via that organization.
- Built and tested a change to hide the Renew button on cards for products that are part of membership packages where the user is paying their membership in our autopay program.
- My Membership
- Built a fix for the accordion arrows overlapping too much with the title text in the Membership History area.
- Enterprise Membership
- Create an estimate for building a change to allow a primary or secondary contact for an Enterprise Membership program to manage more than one of these types of programs.
- Pay Open Invoice
- Estimated the work to build a way in Order History for users to view and pay unpaid balances on invoices.
- Transcripts
- Launched the final fix on the MOC claim page to allow users without an ABP ID or ABP Name in our system to save those prior to submitting the claim.
